The Ethics Institute at Misericordia University recently hosted an Elder Abuse Task Force-sponsored training seminar. The topic was “Elder Financial Abuse” and it was attended by members of the banking community and credit union professionals. The session at Misericordia University explained what elder abuse is and how the elderly are exploited financially. Participants learned about how to identify abuse and steps they can take to prevent it from occurring.
